I painted this after the loss of my cat. I grew up with her since I was 7 years old, and she lived to be 18 years old. A pretty spoiled life she had. 
I painted this based on the feeling of wanting to curl up and do nothing, but having to get up any and keep it together for work and classes. I happen to like making dark themed/gothic paintings so I took the opportunity to get back into it again. Not sure if this resonates with anyone.
